CURRENT EVENT SUMMARY 5-6-22 at 5 PM
A late season coastal storm will bring coastal flooding, very windy conditions,
and heavy rain to the region.
Minor to Moderate tidal flooding is forecast beginning with the Saturday night
high tide and continuing into at least Monday.
Moderate tidal flooding is most likely from Fenwick Island DE to Barnegat Bay
NJ with the Saturday night high tide
Back bays could have higher impacts and little, if any, breaks from the tidal
flooding in between tide cycles
Very windy conditions could result in tree and power line damage throughout the
weekend.
Gale to storm force conditions are expected on the waters.
Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected. This could result in
localized flooding. The flooding threat could increase if rain amounts are higher
than currently forecast.
