First Time Homebuyer Program
Through the First Time Homebuyer Program, the County partners with local lending institutions and nonprofit organizations to provide grants in the form of interest-free deferred second mortgages for down payment assistance. This program created by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and was established to assist lower income families to purchase a home.
- You MUST BE a resident of Monmouth County for 1 YEAR before applying for a grant.
- ALL applicants must complete a pre-purchase housing counseling course and provide a certificate of completion with the First Time Homebuyer application.

Wellness Discount Program
The Monmouth County Wellness Discount Program provides discounts for residents on prescription drugs, eye care, hearing aids, diabetic medications and supplies and dental care through the Coast2Coast Rx card program. All county and non-county residents regardless of age, income or existing health coverage may use a Coast2Coast Rx card. The card is free of charge and is unrestricted on the frequency of use.
