Hazardous Weather: Severe thunderstorms.
Locations affected: Threat exists region-wide. The Enhanced threat covers all of southeast Pennsylvania, the eastern shore of Maryland, most of New Jersey (except the shore areas) and most of Delaware (except the southern beaches). The areas not included in the Enhanced risk have a Slight risk for Monday.
Timing: 1 PM to 8 PM, earliest over our western zones from Berks County northward through the Lehigh Valley and the southern Poconos and latest near the coast. For the Greater Philadelphia area, the best chance for severe weather looks to be between roughly 4 and 6 PM.
Impacts: Damaging straight line winds up to 60 mph and large hail. Isolated tornadoes are possible. Storms will also be capable of producing very heavy rainfall with localized flooding. The marginal risk of flash flooding exists mainly along and northwest of the urban corridor.
Confidence on occurrence: High confidence thunderstorms will occur, moderate confidence regarding how widespread the severe weather will be.

The Enhanced threat now covers all of SE Pennsylvania, the eastern shore of Maryland, most of New Jersey (except the shore areas) and most of Delaware (except the southern beaches). The areas not included in the Enhanced risk have a Slight risk for Monday.
Timing: 2 PM to 9 PM, earliest over our western zones from Berks County northward through the Lehigh Valley and the southern Poconos and latest near the coast. For the Greater Philadelphia area, the best chance for severe weather looks to be between roughly 4 and 7 PM.
