Highlands OEM: March 10 – 11 Storm

EVENT SUMMARY for March 10 – 11

✔ Precipitation will develop by this afternoon and fall, mainly rain near and
south of the I-95 corridor. For the southern Poconos and far NW NJ,
precipitation will start as snow and continue as snow through Saturday morning.
For the Lehigh Valley and the rest of northern New Jersey, a rain/snow mix this
afternoon should change to mainly rain this evening before changing to
snow tonight.
✔ A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for Monroe county. Winter Weather
Advisories were canceled for Lehigh county (PA), Hunterdon, and Somerset
counties (NJ).
✔ Precipitation may briefly end as snow Saturday morning throughout the region.
✔ Gale force wind gusts of 35 to 40 kt will develop on Saturday afternoon for the
Atlantic coastal waters.
✔ Minor coastal flooding is likely behind the departing storm with the high tide
cycle Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
