Highlands OEM: Snow expected- March 6 – 7

Winter Weather Advisories have been added for Northampton County in PA and Hunterdon and Warren Counties in NJ. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Carbon and Monroe Counties. 

Rain is expected to develop tonight, eventually changing over to snow for much of eastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, and central New Jersey. For the updated snowfall forecast, see the attached image below. Precipitation should end toward daybreak on Tuesday. Temperatures are then forecast to rise into the upper 30s to the middle 40s on Tuesday, so much of the accumulating snow should melt at this time. 

Hazardous Weather: Accumulating snow.

Locations affected: Eastern Pennsylvania into northern and central New Jersey.

Timing: Tonight

Impacts: Accumulating snow may create slippery conditions on untreated roads and walkways overnight and into the morning commute on Tuesday.

Confidence on occurrence: High confidence in precipitation occurring. Moderate confidence in snowfall totals.
